Charles Vane: The Unrepentant Outlaw

Charles Vane was one of the most stubborn adversaries of royal authority in Nassau. When Governor Woodes Rogers arrived to offer pardons, Vane famously set fire to a captured prize ship and sailed it straight into the British blockade to make his escape.
